This post launches, Ask Lyn, a series where I answer your photography-related questions, podcast style.
My first question comes from Bill, who is inquiring about a button on the back of his Nikon D7000.
“On my Nikon D7000, there is a button next to the viewfinder that reads AE-L and AF-L. I do not understand what they mean. I have a DVD that explains what to do with it but it is confusing since, I do not understand their function.
Could you explain?”

While my response references the button on a Nikon DSLR, you can find the same functionality on your Canon.
Do you have a photography question that has you puzzled? Ask Lyn and I might respond on an upcoming broadcast.
