Recording - Travel photojournalism with Lee Foster

In our January 2012 webinar, Lee Foster shared his insights on defining a city with your photographs and publishing your work in books, ebooks, and smart phone apps. Lee is a travel photojournalist who has photographed and written about 250 locations around the world. His work can be found in 225 of the Lonely Planet books.

Resources Lee Foster shared:
  • Alamy - World's largest stock photo site. Lee has about 6,000 travel images in their inventory. Anyone can join if you submit technically correct photos. http://www.alamy.com/
  • Bookbaby - Self publishing platform for e-books. Lee used it to publish his book Travels in an American Imagination. You pay a fee to publish and distribute your e-book, then keep 100 percent of the sales. http://www.bookbaby.com/
  • Dr. Brown's 123 - He uses these scripts to create a tiff, large jpg and small jpg from each file. http://russellbrown.com/scripts.html
You can find Lee's work at http://www.fostertravel.com/.
Note: I had to recreate some of the video of Lee's presentation due to my own operator's error, so the sync might be a little off in some locations.
