The Art & Science of Seeing More Creatively

The Art & Science of Seeing More Creatively

A live photography workshop to help you train your eye, unlock your creative vision, and confidently capture images that stand out.

The Struggle: Why Creativity Feels Hard

Have you ever returned from a photo walk thinking, “There wasn’t much to shoot…” — only to see another photographer’s images from the same outing and think:

“How on earth did they see THAT?”

If so, you’re not alone.

Many photographers don’t lack talent — they simply haven’t learned how to see creatively yet. They get stuck capturing what’s obvious, miss the potential in a scene, or freeze because the creative idea in their head doesn’t match what comes out of the camera.

This workshop will help change that.

What You’ll Learn in This Live Workshop

In this 60–75 minute interactive workshop, you’ll discover how to develop creativity with your photography through:

The Art of Seeing — how to notice possibilities others miss
The Science of Creating — how to use your camera to bring those ideas to life
How to find stories, not just subjects
How to break out of “obvious shots” and explore more interesting angles
Ways to use lenses, settings, and tools to shape creative results
Simple drills to train your eye and strengthen your creative intuition

You’ll leave with practical steps you can use on your very next shoot.

Who This Workshop Is For

This session is designed for photographers who:

  • Want to elevate their images from “nice snapshots” to more creative, intentional photography

  • Sometimes struggle to see interesting compositions

  • Feel creatively stuck or uninspired in familiar locations

What People Are Saying

“The material presented was balanced and succinct. It was the best presentation on travel photography yet.”

Reinaldo Luis A.

“Thanks Lyn for this presentation. Not only was it instructional in how to do street portraits but reminded me how important each of our stories are and how engaging with others is so powerful. The pandemic made us all turn inward but there is so much power in engaging and learning from strangers. Thank you!”

Andrea

“Thanks Lyn! Great seminar. You inspired me to take more street portraits!”

Beth P.

“This presentation was spot on! Comprehensive and well thought out. Hope to put this to good use.

Looking forward to jumping back in with both feet!”
