This is your playbook. Join us and learn the art, the craft, and the business of sports photography—all in one powerful week.
I am Lyn Morton, a lifelong photographer and professional photo coach. My business focuses on marketing-focused photography that includes sports and action photography.
My formal training came in college as I pursued a photojournalism degree and in the Army where I served as a photojournalist for eight years.
I went on to have a 20-year career as a PR & Marketing professional and talked just about every boss into buying “the office” a camera. :-)
I launched the entrepreneurial phase of my life in 2010, with PhotoTour DC, a business that taught photography during walking workshops around Washington, DC's picturesque locations. Over the course of seven years, I conducted more than 600 workshops, maintaining a 4.9/5 rating from my attendees.
I also launched Shutterbug Life, an online photography community that featured a weekly podcast, monthly webinars, and an online photography coaching club.
I led Canon Live Learning, Canon USA's photography workshop program. That meant planning, developing, implementing, and marketing all Canon workshops, classes, and other educational or engagement activities throughout the country.
During the pandemic, I held a porch portrait fundraiser, where I raised thousands of dollars for my local first responders and kicked off my current photography business.
